Some Pics of the Tub Gardens

OK, I now have some pictures of the new gardens in our back yard (scroll down to see pics). We have no lawn--but right now the tubs are residing on paving which will eventually be our back patio. Hubby also cleverly designed some hanging pots with upside-down crops (think Disney World) planted through a hole at the bottom, and rightside-up crops in the same buckets, hanging from rafters near the back door of the house!

We found out today that we should be using 5-gallon buckets for the hanging gardens, not 2 1/2..but we can get some "pickle" buckets from a certain relative who shall remain unnamed--they are 5-gallon. Also, instead of merely putting a hole in the bottom of the bucket, the experts recommend making it a two-inch hole (much larger than we did) and laying a sponge with slits in it over the hole, to accommodate growth etc.
